About the New Mexico Lottery
F🔜ormer governor Gary Johson authorized the New Mexico Lottery in 1995, and the first tickets went ꦗon sale in 1996.
By the end of its first year, the lotter🍬y made over $6 million in profits. Also in 1996, the New Mexico Lottery added Powerball to its offerings. The lottery debuted Roadrunner Cash, a state jackpot game with nightly draws, in 1998.
The state then added Mega Millions in 2010, and Lotto🐷 America in 2017. Proceeds from the New Mexico Lottery go toward education in the ♕state and are used to help cover tuition costs at public state colleges.
