Someone out there is unknowingly holding a small slip of paper worth life-changing money. It could be buried in a stack of mail, forgotten in a coat pocket, or tucked into the corner of a wallet, quietly gathering dust.

As hard as it is to believe, these lost chances at fortune are very real, and the clock is ticking. With several deadlines just around the corner, some of these unclaimed prizes could disappear for good if no one steps forward in time.

Unclaimed Mass Cash prize

A deadline is fast approaching in Massachusetts, as lottery officials say an unclaimed $100,000 168极速赛车官方入口:Mass Cash prize is expiring soon. The winning ticket was purchased at Big Y, located at 650 Memorial Dr. in Chicopee, for the May 1, 2024, drawing.

The winning numbers for that drawing were 6, 11, 18, 24, and 26. Prize winners for the Mass Cash draw game have one year from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes.

That means the final day to claim this prize is Thursday, May 1, 2025. If no one claims the prize, the money will become part of the net profit the lottery returns to the Commonwealth for distribution to all 351 cities and towns.

If you happen to be holding onto this winning ticket, you can claim your winnings at one of the lottery claim centers, which are located in Braintree, Dorchester, Lawrence, New Bedford, West Springfield, and Worcester.

Two big jackpots unclaimed in Pennsylvania

Also on the east coast, we have two big jackpots that are unclaimed in the Pennsylvania Lottery that are worth over $5.1 million.

Up first is a jackpot-winning Match 6 ticket, which was purchased at Weis Markets, located at 1199 Texas Palmyra Highway in Honesdale. The ticket happened to match all six of the winning numbers drawn that night — 2, 22, 24, 36, 38, and 39 — to win the jackpot of $2.5 million on May 4, 2024.

A claim must be filed at a Pennsylvania Lottery office by May 2 or by mail, postmarked May 4, or the ticket will expire.

The second ticket is a jackpot-winning 168极速赛车官方入口:Cash 5 with Quick Cash ticket, which was purchased at Murrysville SHOP 'n SAVE, located at 4536 William Penn Highway in Murrysville. The ticket happened to match all five of the winning numbers drawn that night — 14, 22, 33, 35, and 38 — to win the jackpot worth $2.63 million on May 8, 2024.

The ticketholder has until May 8, 2025, to claim their prize at a lottery office or by mail, but this one probably won't happen. With no clue of where the jacket is now, the chances of this ticket being found before May 8 are very slim.

Other deadlines looming

As hard as it is to imagine, there are people who purchase lottery tickets and then just forget about them or lose them. I hold on tight to mine, but that's just me.

That doesn't seem to be the case with these other unclaimed tickets, as more deadlines are looming across the country:

• A 168极速赛车官方入口:Show Me Cash ticket was purchased at Jennings Convenience Center, located at 9311 Lewis & Clark Blvd. in Jennings, Missouri. The ticket matched all of the winning numbers for the October 19, 2024, drawing — 9, 11, 25, 32, and 36 — to win the $60,000 jackpot. The ticket is set to expire on April 17, 2025, if no one claims it.
• A Mega Millions ticket was purchased at The Pantry, located at 164 Fall Creek Drive in Branson, Missouri. The ticket matched all of the white balls drawn for the October 25, 2024, drawing — 23, 26, 35, 41, and 43, and Mega Ball 7 — to win $1 million. The ticket is set to expire on April 23, 2025, if no one claims it.
• A Mega Millions ticket was purchased at QuikTrip, located at 10150 N.E. Cookingham Road in Kansas City, Missouri. The ticket matched all five of the white balls drawn for the November 15, 2024, drawing — 5, 17, 35, 55, and 69, and Mega Ball 19 — to win $1 million. The ticket is set to expire on May 14, 2025, if no one claims it.
• A Powerball ticket was purchased at Speedway #4317, located at 3155 Century Ave. N in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. The ticket matched four of the white balls and the Powerball drawn with a Power Play of 2X for the June 24, 2024, drawing — 5, 6, 36, 53, and 69, and Powerball 8 — to win $100,000. The ticket is set to expire on June 4, 2025, if no one claims it.
